What is a network license?

A Network license allows you to run one or many Autodesk products on multiple workstations using one or more servers to manage the allocation of licenses.

Can I use a utility such as Norton Ghost? to deploy my Autodesk software?

Autodesk does not recommend or support the distribution of applications using "ghosting." If you "ghost" Autodesk products from a host PC to all the workstations using an image program such as Norton Ghost, you risk incomplete installations and problems with activation.

For Network License Manager Installations only: Install the new Autodesk Network License Manager. Take note of the network MAC address and server network name (This can be obtained by typing "ipconfig /all" at a dos prompt on the computer that will be the License Manager.)
